I'm sure I don't have to tell you guys this but I felt that it was time to give credit where credit is due... Our Better halves!
It takes a special kind of woman to appreciate our hobby and the time, devotion and expense it takes to maintain it. Without a supportive and understanding woman behind us... we would be nowhere!
Off Roading is an expensive and time consuming hobby and I've been blessed enough to have a wife who not only understands this but supports my hobby as well. Now, one could say "Well, with this kind of hobby she knows where you are" and while that may be true that would not be enough for most women.
Our wives not only understand our hobby... many of them enjoy it themselves, and that my friends is not only a plus, it makes the hobby that much more fun.
Betsy knew going in to this marriage that this hobby and my Wheeler are my second love, she also knows that it takes money to build and maintain the hobby and she has been awesome in her support of it. I'm not going to say that somewhere deep inside she doesn't ask herself when the expenses will stop, heck I ask myself that all the time however, she's been a great sport about it on top of being the best wife, friend and partner a guy could ask for.
I'm know I'm not alone here guys so... just remember to thank her and do something nice for her to make her aware that their cooperation and involvement is greatly appreciated! _________________

Well said, that man!
Lisa can't participate unfortunately, but is supportive as all heck. She seems to realise that some things are just more important than food, clothing and shelter.
Plus, having an interest that my two girls can share has been fantastic. _________________ New Zealand, where Wetter is Better!!! |

My wifes long running joke among our friends is that I'M AN EXPENSIVE HOBBY! The vehicles, hunting, fishing, fourwheeling, and fire/ems is just mild distractions in the day to day life. _________________ Of all the things I have lost, it's my mind that I miss the most |

The addage " The only difference between a Man and a Boy is the price of their Toys" is very true indeed.
I'll be the first to admit " I may have to grow old but I don't have to grow up!" _________________

Hmmmm.... little did I know (or maybe I just didn't want to accept) that there were Storm Clouds on the Horizon of my marriage when I posted this however, I must say it definitely was for the Better.
It's easily been over 11 years since I've been this stress free and happy. Betsy was great however, I broke my #1 rule when I married her... don't marry a woman with children living at home and it bit me in the Butt.
It's all history now and now it's time for me to do what I want and enjoy life without being responsible for anyone other than myself... and boy do I like to spoil myself lol _________________
